Growing Pains
Dear Momma,
Your baby is growing. It seems like yesterday you were in the hospital holding your 8-pound bundle of joy for the very first time. He seemed so small back then, didn’t he momma? You couldn’t even understand how something so small could cause so much joy in your heart. Now look at him. The joy in your heart grows every day, just like he does.
With growth, comes growing pains. Not just for our babies, but for us too. Watching your baby physically hurt from growing inches a day is hard on our hearts. Not just because seeing our babies in pain is the last thing we want to ever do, but watching our babies grow is something so joyous and heartbreaking at the same time. Watching our babies go from only wanting to sleep on our chests to leaving for college makes us oh so proud. It also makes us oh so sad. So don’t let anyone look down on you for spending the extra time with your baby. Ease some of that growing pain. Cause when your baby looks back on his childhood, he’ll remember the time yall spent together, the adventures you went on, and then he will understand the depth of your love. That’s all we want, isn’t it momma? For our babies to know that they are unconditionally loved.
